The domain

Located at the heart of the St. Chinian appellation, the domain extends over a pretty hillside surrounded by vines and garrigue.

Born from a passion for the vine and wine, the Mas de Cynanque had its first harvest in 2004.

The Cynanque (swallow-wort), the emblem of the Domain, was a symbol of purity, maternity and protection for the ancient Egyptians.

A life and family project, our wish is to help you discover this site and its products.

The vineyard

The Mas de Cynanque domain, situated on a south-facing clay-limestone hillside, covers 12 hectares.

Primarily composed of old vines, it brings together the traditional red grapes of the St. Chinian appellation, namely: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Carignan.

The running of the vineyard is undertaken in such a way as to ensure the respect for the environment, stocks and grapes, and most of the labour is manual.

Wine growers

Love at first sight…the beginning of the domain and three lovely kids !

The wines

The grapes are harvested by hand and are made into wine using the traditional methods. The extraction of the flavours and polyphenols is done primarily by pigeage.

Ageing takes place in tanks or barrels for 8 to 18 months, depending on the vintage and wine.

The marriage of passion for wine and the terroir makes it possible to produce fine and elegant wines, with a strong typicity and a great ageing potential.
